I've always found that most Internet accelerators were funky. Oh, there are tweaks to the registry that can help, no question, but some of the claims seem outlandish and never worked for me.

Regardless of your connection type (modem, DSL, ISDN, cable) ReGet will tweak your bandwidth and ensure the fastest download speeds possible. ReGet can detect browser activity and lower it's download speed, allowing you to continue to surf with decent results while your download continues.

ReGet can be incorporated with Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera and other browsers allowing a seamless integration to downloading, not a bunch of kludgy programs to run to download a file. Download resume is also supported.
