Seems I've read that you don't want to go playing airplane (spinning the blades) of any fans in the inner workings. Something about them generating unwanted voltages to vulnerable places.

Just getting around to checking prices. Just idle wondering...they have an air intake mod for my Dakota to replace the exiting factory one. Way too pricey for my old heap...but I was wondering...why not just cut or drill lots of holes in the original to improve air flow...? |

As long as you increase air flow and/or decrease temp it'll help.

Not sure yet. Just debating. It's an expensive filter...might double the value of my Dakota.
But anything that would increase the mileage even 1 mpg would help a lot with these gas prices. And it looks like (if nothing else goes wrong with it)...the Dakota may be around for a while yet.
