Just figure I'd better made a few notes here online. I've been meaning for the last year or so to see about how to best (easy and lazy) download all my Yahoo email. Lots of folders. Lots of saved stuff I'd hate to lose. Yahoo doesn't make it easy...no archive system setup by them:
MailStore - Email archiving solutions or maybe YPOPs! - POP3/SMTP Access to Yahoo | Free software downloads at SourceForge.net I really should consider setting up a home server one of these days, considering how many odd-n-end pc's we use. |

Maybe just use an email client to download everything then archive from there?

Could. The challenge with yahoo is that I've used it for years...and with an associated domain name email address. (Mostly for business use.)
So I've got about 40 folders in yahoo. They don't have an archive option (to download everything). If I use an email client to download everything...I have to move everything from each individual folder into the inbox. Mark it as unread. Then download it. Then move it back again. Not a biggie I suppose. |
