Report: Google ad code tracks Apple browser users despite privacy settings Pretty sleazy and the statement from Google was just as sleazy; if it was no big deal why did they stop it immediately and why are they are "working to put a stop" to the practice. Huh? You have rogue coders putting stuff in that you don't know about? Seems to me that it would be an area of tightly controlled code and nothing would go live unless it was a company plan. Bogus, bogus, bogus. Nor am I absolutely sure about the "no personal information". If it worked off the +1 function they know full well who you are. The question also is did they know where those people were as well? |

Do no evil...just track it. Sounds like they have fallen for "the love of money" syndrome.

But wait, there's more! Google tricks Internet Explorer, foils privacy settings, Microsoft says I always presume that anything I do on the internet is exposed anyway but still.... |

Ok...it's not the end of the world. But still...if Google did that in real life instead of internet travel...they'd be in jail I imagine.

The Opera beta has a do not track feature plus some interesting performance enhancement ideas. Looking forward to it.

"It is trying to maneuver into position to operate in a post-pc, post-Web world..." ? Are we the last ones left on the web?

"Post-pc" world. That reminds me of something I read a few days ago:
