I think a local paper had a history of SB ad cost from SB1 to present. Seems it was $47k for SB1 and is now $3.2 million. (But for the life of me, I can't remember if that was for 30 seconds or sixty.  Whichever...waaaay out of my pay grade.)

Just watched a review of SB ads on TV...a panel critiquing them. And they happened to comment that it averaged $3.5 million for 30 seconds...with some lasting 60, 90 or even 120 seconds. Ouch.

Not sure which was my fave. I didn't see them all. I got a kick out of the one with the Star Wars scene near the end.

I liked the Chevy apocalypse, the Doritos with the dog, and the Coke Bears the best.

Good...a link to check tonight to see what I missed.  Especially during half-time which I skipped.

49er's father: I should never be in room with Gregg Williams

A year suspension from coaching. Dunno. It's probably just my small town upbringing...but I can't believe it's not for life.

How come I suspect bounty programs have been around a long while in one form or another. Not saying it is right but that's sort of the nature of the game.

Probably. But just sits as one of those things that while it may be, shouldn't be. Just wrong.

They always did that kinda stuff in the Pro Football movies, but I always looked at it being the "bad guys" doing it.

Just my SWAG: If losing more than estimated is good, then if they'd lost twice as much...(2.4 million instead of $1.2)...that would have been twice as good.

Super Bowl hands Indy a $1.3M loss | Indianapolis Star | indystar.com

There was another article someplace(?) that I read about the Minn Viking getting a new football stadium.  Something like $750 or $950 million in taxpayers money.  They would have hated to move...but they really needed a new stadium you know.

Guess I'm just not very sports or civic minded. Not a stinking penny IMO.

Re: stadium money. I couldn't agree more. I can't believe these guys still get away with it.

I'd help them load their trucks.

When Atlanta help the Olympics here several years ago it was the largest peacetime event in history and they made money.  Olympic dorms were turned into dorms for nearby colleges, and other venues that were constructed are still in use.  Seemed like a big win for all concerned, yet the Olympic Committee was a a bit critical when it was over.  I don't think you'll see Atlanta asking for it again anytime soon, if ever.  Left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

Referees to throw pink flags in Miami Dolphins-N.Y. Jets game

Always makes me wonder what color other cancers are?

Nice of them to invite the kid and his family.

Was wondering about the pink shoes some players were wearing in a game last Sunday.  Thought this might be the reason.

I think the players were reluctant at first but now it's towels, shoes, gloves, every accessory is pink.
