Good point. The older I get the more I think that restricting voting to land owners was a pretty darn good idea.

Still no guard that you won't get the uninformed to vote but at least it cuts down on the number of wolves.

Get out the vote? More like, IMHO, 'buy out the vote'. At least from the Democratic party side of things. Don't have to know anything about issues or beliefs (or have any themselves)...all they need is to get people who want something for nothing to vote for whomever has "Democrat" after their name on the ballot.

Interesting. I'd heard of The Third Jihad...but didn't realize the produce was Muslim himself.

This thread seemed a good fit...politicians. Political correctness. Political blindness and stupidity.

Political Correctness. Sigh. Pretty soon the only history anybody will know will be a political correct history. And that will be whatever happens to be popular at the time.

Who would have thought that NASCAR would go PC!
ctor Ben Jones, who starred as "Cooter" on the television show "The Dukes of Hazzard," wrote to tell me about a decision by NASCAR to ban the car known as the "General Lee" from appearing at the Sprint Cup series race at Phoenix next month. The image of the Confederate flag on the car's roof, said NASCAR spokesman David Higdon, "...is not something that should play an official role in our sport as we continue to reach out to new fans and make NASCAR more inclusive."

Just "WOW". A good movie plot...except it's a real reality show:

Bah!  Politics and politicians - Not all but a lot are just interested in self interest, enrichment, power and whatever comes with that power .  Sunland Park is a suburb of El Paso where I lived at one time.  It seems that Reconquista is healthy and well in the southwest judging from the surnames of those in political power down there.

If this is an example of Reconquista (along with some of the stories about drug gang activity in the U.S.) they can keep it south of the border.

"And since the earth is flat and Guam is an island floating in the vast Pacific .........."  Oh spare us the stupidity!  He could be completely inebriated or in a drug induced state when you can't even remember how to say width and length ...... Sheesh!

That was about the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life and we're paying his salary.

Credit to the admiral who answered him with a straight face.

Yep, I was trying to figure (with awe) what kind of 'official' he was, obvious since he was interrogating the Admiral in some official capacity.  Embarrasing for humanity.

Don't know why he's worried about Guam...floating in the vast Pacific. He should be more worried about the Earth...floating in the vast space of the universe.

Hehehe....Actually I'm surprised that he's worried about anything seeing as how it all ends on Dec. 21st.

Makes sense since he was probably elected by deceased voters.

Senate Approves Proposal To Compel States To Enact Strict Teen Driving Rules

Big government. And that's my only comment to the above story. Not about whether the goals are desirable or not...just the idea of how much the states have become financial slaves to the federal purse.

(And ones like it over the years. Like recently in Texas with funding over Planned Abortion clinics.)  Or even with Churches and IRS exempt status. Bet there's thousands of examples.
