Sounds like a rough one. At least I got one prediction right. LOL  And Randy should be happy. Or his family.

Was a heck of a defensive game, but it sure looked like LSU didn't come with anything new from their previous match up.  Their front 4, for the most part, was all Alabama needed to disrupt LSU's offense.  They had no need for much blitzing.  Alabama's offense showed quite a few different unbalanced looks.  Crazy score: 5 field goals and one touchdown with a missed extra point.  Must be a record for the fewest points scored, or fewest touchdowns.

First shutout in the history of BCS bowl games. (Headline from this morning.)

Know how long that is?

No idea but from my email:

Breaking news, if you are not aware.

The LSU football team and coaching staff are stranded in New Orleans.

Somebody painted a 50-yard-line in front of their bus.

I guess I'm missing Saturday football.  No DVD tonight, absolutely nothing on TV (even on the freebie weekend of HBO but what's new there?).  I wonder why they are called "Premium Channels"?  I've been given many a trial period or a free weekend but it's always 'Ho-Hum' ... or worse.  When we first bought this place back in the '60s there was one off the air channel available and the programming was less than sterling but it seemed fine and we'd watch until the sign off flag and National Anthem or signoff logo.  Now I've got a choice of 100+ channels and here I am bitching about nothing to watch.   Spoiled I guess.  But I still miss Saturday night football.
Now I recall what sparked this rant - I just watched Rudy again.  So I take it back, there was at least one thing worth watching

Isn't there a channel that shows old football games?  Seems like our cable had it...when we still had CATV.  I remember making fun of it, although I suppose it isn't really any different than watching other TV or movie reruns.

Yeah, there's the NFL channel but I'm with you on that (make fun of it).  I'm not big into watching either NFL or re-runs.

That's the main reason we try to buy the DVDs of movies we enjoy the most.  Nothing on the TV and nothing on the net, we pop a DVD in.

So...any dog in the fight tonight?  I'm still debating.  Ordinarily...it would be the Giants. But they've seemed a little cocky about having it won before the game is played. But...I'm just not a big Patriots fan either.  Decisions decisions.

I'll be watching and rooting for the Giants.  But there's an ongoing series on PBS that will take me away for an hour or so.

I haven't checked but in the past I've like that "puppy bowl" (they used to show?) on Animal Planet. Yup, it's still on. Sweet.

Otherwise I'm streaming a movie of a fireplace.
