0.99" so far.  And the culvert is working!  Maybe the lakes will recover after this spell of weather.

Only a paltry .08 so far but there's a lot north of us and a 90% chance tomorrow and I think the weatherdude is hemming and hawing about it slowing down.

Regardless at 44 it's COLD compared to the 70+ we've had in the last bit. Even some "wintry precipitation" north of us.

Great news about the culvert and the rain.

It didn't get out of the upper thirties today. Brrrr.  And by Sun/Mon...upper sixties or lower seventies.

Temp has not changed since yesterday afternoon (44) and a piddling amount of rain (.18) so far but the weatherguy still maintains we'll see 2+ plus this afternoon. I am dubious.

Also a chance of rain in the forecast for the next five days. At least the high tomorrow is forecast to be 71 and then 81 on Monday.

All drips and dribbles but did have a light shower that just passed by.  They keep talking in Ark terms but all I've seen is feeble attempt, but I don't want to tempt fate so I'll leave it at that.

Another brief shower just passed by.  Amounts are still small but there is a pretty good sized mass southwest that is approaching from Don's area.  Daughter is due up with her load of critters so I hope nothing serious develops.  DST has begun whether we like it or not.

We never got the promised load either but ended up with what looks to be at first glance between .8 and 1". They've taken rain out of the forecast for today and tomorrow but a good chance again starting on Tuesday.

As we speak there is a small training system overhead.  Probably the most significant amounts of this event have come down in the last hour or so.

Hope it's long and moderate.

Not worth much but the new Wunderground long range forecast has rain in it every day for the eight days starting Wednesday. Looks like there's a change in the weather.

I might add that starting tomorrow our forecast high is in the low 80's every day as well.

Indeed. I'm anxiously awaiting May which is traditionally our wettest month and that will tell the tale I expect.

The rain is just about to move out.  The heavy part has already traveled over to Louisiana.  I don't know the exact amount yet but two inches + today.

Sweet! I misread our total, after a close look it was 1.2.

Just a great day here. Sunny, mid-sixties. Actually warm enough this afternoon to go out without my hat on. Which, if you know me, is saying something.  Forecast is pretty much in the mid-sixties plus/minus a few for the next week with some sunny, some rainy days.

A lot of of are wishing for warm windy days to get a jump start on gardening (tilling early).

It will be interesting to see how the rainfall amounts pan out at the end of the year for all of us.

I don't think I posted this (I'm a little discombobulated .... occupied with daughter and grandaughter since Sunday) but my total for the last wet spell was a significant 3.46".  Daughter says she never had seen so much overflow and standing water as on her trip here.  There is a small stream (or a large creek) on the back side of their property and son in law called and sent a photo to show the creek at record levels for their three year eperience at their place. Lake Palestine reported to be only 1.5' below full and still climbing.

Excellent! I expect by the time all the run off is collected Palestine will be close to full.

Gotta love the long range forecast, it ain't worth spit.

They keep moving that forecast for rain out, originally it was yesterday, then Thursday and so on. Now it's Sunday.

Still nice weather and on the way up to a high of 84 today.
