LOL! Seemed while I was working on heavy construction projects, when working my way through school, the ones who swore the "best" messed up or broke the most things.

Maybe those were just the ones you noticed the most for bringing the most attention to themselves with their language.... |

Yeah, I never heard the ones quietly swearing to themselves over the equipment noise.

Never thought of it like that, but yes, a handy kitchen tool indeed. (Bet it would make a great meat tenderizer. HeeHee)

heehee! So long as the simulated darkness didn't involve a sack over your head it might work out okay.

Nope, no bag, just our imagination. This was in late '72..Nov/Dec(?) and was a combination of mostly two things:
a. Wintery nasty weather at Fort Knox and b. Drill sergeants with lots of attitude. Lots of bad attitudes. (This was as Vietnam was drawing down.) It was just a verbal command that we were running through the course in "simulated darkness" instead of hanging around till night time. (Seems like it was around noon.) And that's what we did, and hauled back to the barracks out of the wind, rain, and other nasty stuff. It was the Army. If they gave you a command that it was now dark and you could not see...who were we to argue. |
