Blondie and Dagwood  Now there's an idea.

Yep Ziggy It was the cat this morning. And no bird...unless you count the Robin in the nest on the downspout. (Hey...I'm a "grandpa"...I noticed little baby heads yesterday.)

I had a Olds Delta 88, can't remember the year, but it was warn out in 1981 when I started driving it.  That car was huge and drank gas in a big way.  But it was mine.  My Dad bought it from a friend for one dollar and then gave it to me.

'59 Chevy Biscayne here. Painted it myself from a ugly cream to black. Didn't work too well.

It had gone far too long between lube jobs and had squeaks that were beyond my repair abilities hence it was Squeaky for the rest of it's natural life.

I remember my first. 1966 maroon Pontiac Catalina.  Probably only because it was my first, and several repairs that I had to do to it soon after getting it from a dealership.  I imagine that's what started my distrust and dislike of used car salesman.

Heck....most of my cars I only remember because of many (and often weird) repairs.)

It would be my third vehicle that I remember fondly...the '68 Charger. Vroom, vroom (and glasspack muflfler).

First cars are special, or maybe not first but early cars that were actually nice and presentable, which my first car was not. It was a '32 Chevy sedan with no 2nd gear, the top leaked and it had a cracked block (water from the radiator and the engine oil kind of cohabitated) but what can one expect for $50 and I now can't believe what it went through to even run and get me around, which it did for a while at least.

Me too.  The artist has always seemed to have a wonderful sense of humor.
