This is absolutely non-Hi Tech - I have a quirk of listening to talk radio when I go to bed (before I go to sleep ordinarily) and have always done so on a Sony Walkman type setup. My old faithful from many years ago cratered so I bought the new version. It lasted about a month or two. I'm not too sold on Sony anymore, in fact I see where they are having difficulties. I just bought a Coby to replace the Sony and I always thought of Coby as elCheapo stuff. We'll see. (It was cheap, er, .. inexpensive by the way)

Ouch even at "inexpensive" a couple of months turns into expensive. I hope this one turns out better for you.
I always thought the better parts were put in car radios. It would be cool to have one mounted in a box for the night stand. Those critters seem to last forever. |

Sony seems to be a shadow of it's former self for the most part.

Lots of things built for cars seem to last forever...like lights.
