Back to Obama...a cartoon..which might be funny if not for the possibility of being true.  I've read some almost identical comments by some folks who hate him and by some who love him: just wait till after he is re-elected and can cut the restraints on his 'progressive' agenda.  He'll be free to be himself with no worries about re-election.

I couldn't handle listening to the who thing. If that was a white preacher bashing black people, and African civilization and famous figures...he'd probably get arrested for hate speech and who knows what else.

Yeah, I have this kind of dull ache somewhere in my being that Obummer is out to destroy our system as we know it.  It's subtle in some places, not so much in others.  His associates and those with whom he has chosen to surround himself in his Cabinets, Czars, obscure bureaucrats, his policy actions ...it's like a termite infestation.  Semi slow destruction and unseen on the surface for the most part.

"You say tomato, I say tomahto."  We say "destroy" and his kind says "fundamentally transform".  I've always said since the '08 election that Obama believes that the United States would be a great nation.."if...".  And his rhetoric just the last day or two about making this a "fairer" nation, IMHO, proves that...and that he listened very well indeed to Wright.

Well...OK...just strange.  I won't pretend to understand the Romney's...heck...we come from different social and economic circles, that's for sure. No biggie.  But...to tell a stay at home mom to shut the heck up because she's never worked a day in her life and isn't qualified to speak about economic or women's issues?  Wow, just wow. That sounds like something an ultra right-wing conservative would say....not some liberal progressive.

And Hilary Rosen. Is that the same Hilary Rosen that was (is) a lobbyist for the recording industry...and helped put Napster out of business (along with various online piracy laws?).

It was amazing and then there's this from the women on CNN discussing it:

"MALVEAUX: A lot of us were talking about this on the team and we were just saying, "Wouldn't it be great if you had the choice?" You know, if you didn't have to actually go out and work? You know, everybody kind of wants that choice. They feel like if they could stay home, a lot of people would stay home. And --"

HAD A CHOICE? DIDN'T HAVE TO GO OUT AND WORK? I thought that feminism was all about women clamoring to go out and work. Now they're saying they don't want to? Are they saying that feminism has short changed them?

And while the article is critical read the interview Romney's wife gave in '94 about how they started out as a couple.

I've got no love for Romney but it appears that liberals, typically, want it both ways.

I'll save and read later after some errands.

Personally...between you and I (and so my sweetie doesn't hear..shhhhh.....) I'd much rather go to "work" than stay at home.  At least "at work" there's a quitting bell.

Yup, I hear ya. Not so much anymore but working from home that was the biggest problem. Many years I worked 20 hours a day, 7 days a week, just no quitting.

Not that I'm complaining, it was what it was but it was a factor.
