Appeals Court Stops Re-selling of Software
A different sites review of the decision mentioned that it wouldn't take much for book and other printed material publishers to insert a "contract" into their publications similar to that of software. (That the purchaser is only "renting" it or purchasing a license to "use" the material...not to own it. And that it must be destroyed or returned rather than resold.) It's a wonder they don't slap something like that on cars, houses...all manufactured items. Wouldn't that stimulate the economy!! |

Oh...I'm not saying it would work...it wouldn't....it's just the general idea. The software in the court decision was even "unopened" for crying out loud.
