Oh yes...some do...to let the 4th and 5th string play. LOL  I don't care about that...but my goodness...you'd think they would remember to have the defensive team show up on game day.

Yeah. N.D. beat Army. I should certainly hope so!!

And for pro-sports...heck of a punt-return by Dallas...97 yards. I doubt if I could do that anymore....LOL

Auburn v. Alabama. Whoohoo, what a game. Didn't turn it on until after kick off and Alabama was ahead 21 to zip and I figured it was over. Gotta give the Auburn kids a lot of yardage for guts. Really impressive.

What a game!  It about did me in.  I don't think either team has come back from a 24 point deficit before.  Just wow!  Those guys sure know how to adjust and keep on going.  They have done it quite a few times this year against good teams.  Never seen anything like it.

Gloom in this household since my daughter and husband, a Bama alum, were here watching with me.  Being a Longhorn fan I have become used to losing this year so it didn't affect me so much.  Great game from a Tiger's viewpoint.

Rankings don't matter when Auburn and Alabama play, it's never over 'til it's over.

Just read a summary of the game...Auburn/Alabama.  Probably not very many folks with any nails left after that. Wow.

N.D. 20-USC 16

If the Irish only beat one team a season..I can forgive them losing all the other games. (Almost.)

What I really loved reading were some California sports pages about how the game shouldn't have even been close....USC was that much better than N.D. (I only caught a few minutes on TV, so I can't say.) All I can say to that is Tongue

Just outstanding! And congratz to ND.  Winning that game is kind of like me and my garden - if I can just get a few tomatoes I consider it a success.  I can appreciate your statement about if it's the only game ................

Glued to the tube.  I'm warn out, but very happy with the results.  I can't believe an Auburn team beat a Steve Spurrier team by that many points.

I watched most of the Auburn game and all of the OU-Neb. game.  You know the Auburn outcome and OU outlasted Neb. 23-20 and goes to the Fiesta Bowl vs. Stanford or UConn.  Neb. didn't get to kiss the Big 12 goodbye with a win like they hoped.  We'll see how they do in the Big 10 next year.  Bowl matchups that aren't decided yet will be announced tomorrow night so I hear.

I was glad that the score was not close on the Auburn - South Carolina game.  Watched a play by play of the end of the OU and Nebraska game.  Looked like the defenses rose to the occasion on both sides after the half.

It's interesting. I was checking scores on MSNBC sports page...and there like some other places...a Notre Dame corner.  That's even though they haven't done well for quite some time.

Evidently they find out today what bowl game they are going to. ND is my fave...but I actually wish they would decline it.

Heh heh - I happened to be watching and ole' Payton tossed 1 too many interceptions.  Cowboys 38-Colts 35 in 1st OT.  Kitna, the Cowboys "fill-in" QB is doing fairly well and it looks like the team is playing more up to it's potential under Jason Garrett since Wade Phillips was fired (about time).

Yeah...I see they've won 3 out of 4 games under Garrett.

Well, congrats.  I was "kinda" rooting for Indy since I'm a Hoosier...but just never have been a Colts fan...well...at one time but they had Baltimore in front of their name and Johnny U at the helm.

I was a lot more into pro football when the team matched the city.  Now you need a program to figure it all out.  It's mostlyt all business and bottom line.
