At least 21 wounded in separate shootings, 1 dead Ya think one of them was the mayor sticking a gun up someones exit? Just think how bad it'd be if guns were legal there. |

Do you think it will ever occur to Daley (and folks like him) that the problem in Chicago is not guns...the problem is Chicago itself. Instead of trying to ban and control guns...they really need to control or ban people.
I'd read some other articles about Dailey's new gun ordinance earlier. I can't say what I think here. Heck...I shouldn't even be thinking what I'm thinking. Their new ordinance is still a "ban" as far as I'm concerned. Can only have a gun in your house, locked up or safety-lock...but not in your yard or garage... And that bit about needing target practice to get a permit. Chicago has not allowed any new shooting ranges for decades...and the old ones are reserved exclusively for police use. Chicago....bah!! It's a war of attrition as they'll put up the new law and then enforce it for the 7-8 years it takes to get to the SCOTUS. Oh, it occurs to him, he knows it full well, after all his bodyguards are fully armed all the time, he just doesn't believe that those rules apply to the rest of us. |
