I read something recently where someone said the 10,000 rpm drives burn up much quicker than the 7200 rpm drives.

I know they'll fail eventually but so far so good for my 10k rpm drives and one of them has been used daily for 4 years.

It just didn't seem right. Didn't think you would purposely go for would be a temporary drive just to get the speed. He was saying within a year type of a time frame.
