But, mom always told me to respect my elders, so I'll give up.
It's the right thing to do. But, sigh, the agony of de-bleat. |

I had lots of help. Part Google. And part because yesterday we were looking for an Amish bakery in the country (the youngun and I) and passed a flock of sheep....and the sheep hit the fan. It's been fun...like getting a new fleece on life.

Dangerous. I guess a lot of groups tend to jump on bandwagons without much thinking.
Reminds me of a question the other night on that O'Reilly Factor segment. The guest was asked why )according to a poll) only 32% of Republicans believe in the Global Warming line, but around 55% of Independents do...but almost 90% of Democrats swallow it hook, line and sinker. The consensus was that it's "probably" due to where people get their news. Liberals tend to get most of their news from the MSM, which is primarily made up of liberal newscasters. |

... who speak as if "global warming" is an indisputable fact.
It's good to see at least in a couple of cases that even liberal MSM types are starting to be bothered by the propaganda machine they've turned into. |

Frankly I think that most liberals don't have any intellectual curiosity. Heck, nany times they don't even think, it's how they "feel" about something. Not all mind you but a very large number. |

Very true. I was just thinking of the exchange with the White House correspondents and the ""consternation" at the London conference" in the link above.

Does he read? Maybe he spends so much time telling people how good he is and how bad GW is that he doesn't have time for much else.

Ah....but they can make this stuff up.
Record heat and drought: global warming. Record cold and snow: global warming. Man...that's just a real rock and hard-place. |

Sure glad we're switching to CFL lighting to combat global warming. Grab your reading glasses, face mask and read on:
EPA Issues New Guidelines for Hazardous Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs Cleanup « The Minority Report I'm sure there was an earlier mention of this...but darned if I can find it. |

I believe we did talk about this subject and altho for some unknown reason I can't get to your article I will comment to the effect that CFLs are losers IMO - they do not emit the light they say they do, they do not last like they say they will, they cost way too much for the short lived poor performing product they are. My daughter's new house utilized those a lot especially in recessed ceiling lighting in high and hard to get to fixtures and they regret it now for all the reasons mentioned.

We have some of them. A couple I bought to try. I only use them in a desk lamp that only gets used as a "night light" when we're away. The kitchen ceiling fan/light combo came with them. I hate them. Don't like the light. Nor the amount of light. Nor how long they take to come up to full power.
Here's another link. I didn't notice the first one is to a "blog"...one of those that the page seems to run on forever. It might be too much for dialup. EPA Issues New Guidelines for Hazardous Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs Cleanup | Before It's News |
