Well. My overall performance went from 3.3 to 3.2....bummer. (It's all video.  If this had a decent video "card" to match the rest of the laptop...it would be a 5.9)

I tried running the performancetroubleshooter. No go.
"An unexpected error has occured. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue"

Error details:

Package ID: PerformanceDiagnostic
Path: Non-local Package
Error code: 0x80091007
Source: Download
User: my computer name\user name
Context: Elevated

No answers searching...just more people searching for a troubleshooter for the troubleshooter. I wonder if it means Microsoft's servers have been down?

I got the same message trying to run the troubleshooter, I think you might have the answer (servers down).

Great list, thanks. Sigh, sadly it was easier in the days of file/programs names being limited to 8 characters. Plus my memory was a bit younger as well...

Almost easier, IMHN12SPO, almost easier to use start/search and enter something like:
Diagnostic
or
troubleshoot
or
printer

etc

and then pick from the list. Seems to do  a decent job.

Yup, that find feature in 7 is a lifesaver and faster than opening a command window anyway.

I've found it works very well, especially for finding files, very nifty that.
