Hi Everybody,
I am using Windows Vista (Ultimate). The issue is when I go to create a new folder, it creates folder with its default name "new folder" but when I try changing the name from "new folder" to some other name, it does not. Any suggestions please? Thanks in advance. |

Do you get any messages or does it just revert back to new folder? Same thing if you right click, select properties and type in the new name there? |

I do get a message "The file or folder does not exist". On OK it reverts back to new folder.

There is a fix at Microsoft for this error, which apparently is due to a registry key being deleted in one of their updates. Click on the below link go to the Microsoft web page. Good luck.:
Why do I receive the following error message when I use Windows Explorer in Windows Vista to rename folders: "The file or folder does not exist" |
