It's amazing there hasn't been a slew of Tiger Woods puns here.  Sure heard a bunch at work.  What a guy. Another "very sorry"...after caught.

There was a sidebar story on a web site this week...something about "Are guys prone to roam?"  I didn't read it. But it made me wonder if the "roam" statistics for the rich and famous are worse, same or better than us ordinary folks.

Oh...the reason for my post was another news blurb I just saw.  Another fine example of one of our servants:

I figure those rich and famous do all that kind of stuff because they don't have any real friends but instead are surrounded by people that depend on them for a job and thus aren't likely to tell the "boss" that they're screwing up. Either that or they just think that they're untouchable/invincible.

As for this specific case I don't really have a lot of investment in him as a role model or anything but regardless I'll never look at him and not have a lot of negative thoughts so from that perspective it's very possible that his future endorsement value has dropped.

Everybody (Nike, et al) is hanging with him so far but next will come the drug stories and that'll be the last straw.

And there will be more.

Took a while to get my link fixed...if you noticed. Dingy connection.

Drugs.  There was a slideshow yesterday about professional wrestlers. Ouch. Sure explained why I hadn't heard any news about some that we used to watch...dead.  Used to watch till the late 80's or early '90s when it got too silly.  Amazing how many have died in their mid-forties, give or take five years. Lot of heart problems. Lots of drugs...either recreational or enhancement.  Sad.

Don - That's my take as well, concerning the rich and famous, and my view of him.  Had not thought of the drugs.  Would not surprise me as well.

It'll come. Plus I just read that a 4th woman, at the time a 20 year old cocktail waitress, has come forward and has already grabbed a lawyer.

Doesn't matter if it's true or not because once it starts....

On the bright side he's creating a lot of employment for lawyers.

Tiger Woods 'used bodyguards to lure his lovers'

Another British report accused Woods of five more flings, bringing the married superstar's alleged tally of affairs to eight.

And

Ms Uchitel told friends she and Woods took the sleeping pill Ambien before having sex, according to a US media report.

"You know, you have crazier sex on Ambien - you get into that Ambien haze. We have crazy Ambien sex," the report claims she said.

Once it starts....

Tiger's troubles widen his distance from blacks

I wondered how long it would be before this popped up.  Strange, this inter-racial dating thing. We don't have much around here, but it was common during my Army years. And attitudes appear not to have changed very much.

It's a good thing that Spock's head done exploded, he'd be in total agony by now.

AP: Tiger Woods Is Racist - He Only Cheats With White Women

And I could be wrong and I'm not real curious about it either way but I'm pretty sure he has mentioned, or maybe it was someone else, that he's more Asian than black.

That's in the link before yours.

Yeah. Hard to express my viewpoint without sounding racist.  Seems odd, if someone is a fraction of something that makes them all of that.  Isn't there some college professor who is something like 1/24th Native American...so he claims that as his race.  Yet if somebody can claim the same, but with a fraction of white ancestor...it just doesn't work the same.

Yep, Univ. of Colorado (ex) professor you are speaking of.  Ward Churchill.  Total loser in my book.  http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,307077,00.html  Miniscule claim to American Indian lineage but has long hair, pigtail, wears Indian symbol accessories, etc..

Ah...that's the guy. No wonder I forgot the name.  As you said, a total loser.

Looks like Woods is digging himself in deeper every day. Saw a headline, but didn't read, that now links him to 10 women.  He sure is not popular with the women at work!!

Once it starts....

And ya know, I was thinking on this yesterday, I didn't think that I had any investment in his personal life and I don't but here's the deal; I'll never be able to see/hear him again without thinking of all this and in a negative light or thinking something silly like "he missed that putt, his wife probably beat him last night" (or something perhaps a bit more rude...).

He can still play and win in golf tournaments but everything else for him is pretty much over.

Sad.  Movie, music, sports stars. Politicians and even tele-evangelists.  And some like to say their personal life has no bearing on their professional. But I beg to differ. It has everything to do with it.

Yup.

And I was also thinking that despite everything that he seems to "have" he was still able to screw it all up.
