I might add that for all his hot air crude is up $1.31 to $104.24 today. The market was totally unimpressed recognizing it for what it is. Heck, the big players in oil futures are companies trying to mitigate risk with the airlines one of the heavy hitters. Maybe he'll just nationalize them and give them military jet fuel after he shuts down the Air Force. While keeping Air Force 1 for family vacations and such. He's suck a puke. |

I hope Obama's ears are blistered good this morning. Heck, they should be burned off. (He might not directly control gas prices, but indirectly is a different story.)
Our college kid has to be at O'Hare airport early next month. And she figured to save money by having somebody (like her folks) take her. Instead of catching a flight from Ft. Wayne to Chicago. HaHaHa. Almost 500 miles round trip. At $3.88 per gallon, for two round trips with our van...that would be about $200 in gas. Looks like I can get a round-trip flight for $240-$280. Not that much difference. (And no difference at all figuring in the driver's wages... ...plus it's a 4.5 hour drive one way. That's a long drive for us anymore. |

He thinks you should have an electric car. Of course that'd only cost $199 in electricity but since the charge would be bundled in with everything else electric he doesn't think you'd notice.

Good observation...about bundled in with all the other stuff. Of course...it might be easier to snake an extension cord over to an unobservant neighbors house....than to try an siphon gas out of their tank...?

Speaking of gas prices I drove to Tyler yesterday and mostly gas up around $3.73 (a few at $3.69) but one station between here and there caught my attention - $3.54. I shoulda screeched to a stop and filled up but didn't. Prices dropping daily here for the last few days.

3.64 is the cheapest but 3.69 is far more common.

Prices have been steadily dropping here to $3.69 at most stations we saw today. Pretty surprising.

Barrel price is up today and over $104 but pump price slipped a little here again and I topped off at $3.64. Most locals a little higher than that though.

Tonight was strange. My sweetie got gas at the county seat 12 miles away for $3.72. It's 3.78 here at home. But we went to Marion tonight (college) which is always cheaper...except not tonight..about a dime higher.

I think the gasoline Leprechauns follow you around Karl and where you pull into a station they jack the price up on you with a spell or two. Maybe they are Gremlins.

Hmmm. ROFL Gremlins eh! Could be...they are green aren't they. And greenies certainly seem to be playing havoc with so many things these days.

Can't remember if gas was $3.79 or $3.82 yesterday. No matter, it's not today: $3:99. Gee...

Things are done in a big way up there it seems. When they have an increase they want you to notice.
