   To be amending the hurricane forecast mid-October seems a bit more like reporting than forecasting.

	My mistake, that was from 2010. Still I see to recall alarms earlier this year that it was going to be terrible, we'd all die, etc. A very calm year by any standard except for the hysteria about the rain storm they had on the E. coast.

	Maybe they are playing safe and using last years for the forecast. Easier to get it right that way.

	Yep, I remember reading about the terrible hurricane season they were predicting. Missed it by a mile.

	Wow, is this an early start (relying only on memory)? Tropical Storm Alberto At present it doesn't look like it'll turn into much with "weakening and dissipation in 2-3 days" but still, seems awfully early.

	It's been mentioned in the last couple of days on local TV weather. Last I heard of possible effects is some big waves and stiff winds but the track takes it off into the North Atlantic so they say.

	On the positive side maybe it'll bring some long needed rain to that area that needs it so I hear.

	Wow, the models still seem to be all over the place but the local forecast has it coming this direction. This will not be good for oil prices.

	This morning has it coming in at the eastern coast of La. but the forecasters says the models are still in disagreement.
