Oh....not a real bridge?
Speaking of getting blown up and video stuff. There's been an ad running on TV for a Samsung phone. Cool. Not the phone...but the video. A post at you tube said Samsung shot the video for their ad...but I wonder... Strike any bells...sure looks like a cool movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIPcobKMB94 |

Can't place it as a movie but it's a cool commercial. Here's a clip of the bridge getting blown up around 1:20 in. |

Strangely perhaps...I enjoyed the original a whole lot more. Or maybe I need to watch it again. I thought they were a real whiny butt group of people in the Cruise version.

I like both of them but I thought the original was kind of hokey. Speaking of which I can't believe how many people prefer the original Clash Of The Titans to the the new one. In this case it's not only better special effects but story and acting as well. For me these two remarks were better than the original. But that's just me. |

Of the new batch that I've recently watched I liked Revolver. Not new and maybe not as good as Snatch but I liked it.

I can't recommend it 100% but Alien Trespass is kinda fun. More of a homage than a parody. Probably not worth a DVD slot at Netflix but worth the time for an instant view if it's a slow weekend.

On line watching is out of my league but while here I'll mention my last Netflix watch - Kate and Leopold. Nothing extra, extra special but a fun and entertaining kind of modern fairy tale. Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman.

Or a rainy weekend. We've been watching a lot of Netflix instant; last night it was Doc Hollywood and Eraser. |

Eraser is pretty much a standard Arnold movie, think it was probably near the end of his run. Not one of his better ones but then it's just mindless and in reality silly action. But still fun. |

Cool. Just watched a trailer of Eraser. Looks like mindless violence and mayhem. LOL (Never heard of it before...??)

Oh yeah, it's got plenty of stuff blowing up and plenty of bad guys getting whacked. Another current favorite is a TV series that I'd never heard of before but am seeing on instant view for the first time; Better Off Ted. I enjoy it a lot. |

Saw two new ones this week. Repo Men was extremely disappointing. I had expected more from the actors and the plot but it was pretty much a dud for me. On the other hand Kick-Ass rates right up there on the old splatter meter, probably just below Rambo but what a hoot. Not something I'll watch again but still, for the type of movie it is (another comic book made into a movie) it's close to the top of the heap. |
