I've seen trailers and ads and it looks like a fun one. I'm gonna put that in my queue.

Chuckle. My last post is the same subject as I came here to post: UP!
Just finished watching the DVD. That's one time in a theater and once at home for both my wife and myself. Our daughter saw it three times in different theaters and now on DVD. It still brings a moist eye in different spots. Got to love Dug the Dog: ![]() |

We bought it and thought it was great. Laughed and cried. Wonderful movie.
Watched Star Trek last night. Outstanding as well. |

The latest. It came out this past Tuesday on DVD. Updated but adhered enough to the original concept in a good way.

Saw it at the video store but thought I'd wait. I did see the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still. If there's ever been a worse movie I've never seen it. Makes Plan Nine look like high art. |

If it's any indicator, my wife and both my daughters liked it very much. My daughters watched it twice with me this weekend and they had already seen it a the theater.

It's funny but it occurs to me that the better science fiction/horror stuff is happening on television these days. I'm trying to think of some good SF stuff, maybe some of the early Terminator movies, the Abyss, the Alien franchise, The Fifth Element, Stargate, etc. and they're all pretty much 90s era when CFI was first coming into it's own. Since then a couple of good twists on the zombie theme (28 Days Later), maybe Cloverfield for being semi-original if not all that great, Sunshine to a certain degree but mostly clunkers for me. On the other hand you have Fringe and Flashforward on TV. I haven't seen it but a lot of people seem to like the Sarah Conners Chronicles. |

Twice in one weekend. That's quite a recommendation.

My first sampling of Flashforward was encouraging.

Interesting concept and reasonably well executed. I'm trying to think of the last time that I saw something that made me wonder how I'd react, can't recall but FF did. |

Watched Enemy at the Gates last night - Gory, grimey, gripping, good! Sniper vs. sniper during the siege of Stalingrad. Ed Harris and others. I like Ed Harris even tho he was the semi-bad guy.

Will add to my list. I wondered if it was any good. I'm the only real "action" flick fan in the house.

Cool, I've added it to my list as well. Can't think of many Ed Harris movies I haven't liked. |

I have known the generalities of Stalingrad but if this movie is anywhere near factual, it was really a time of horror. Hard to imagine. Stalin and his machine were really bad guys but at least he contributed this to WWII and it was a big factor in the defeat of the Nazis. (Nazis -Is that right? It doesn't look right) Of course the extreme weather and distance of supply lines played a big factor also. I think those that have expressed interest will really enjoy this movie.

Does look like a good one. Yep, if Hitler had not gone after the Russians in WWII things might have turned out quite differently.
