No internet and opening up the network would only show the single machine.</p><p>The first couple of times it really, really confused me but I finally figured out it was the WHS box but I couldn't figure out why.</p><p>I still don't know why but I found the subject event occurring around the time of the weirdness and did some background work on what caused it and discovered that the folder:</p><p>C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys</p><p>Had had all permissions removed. Reset them to full for both admin and everyone.</p><p>I'll have to wait to see if this is it but it was certainly wrong so no harm in correcting it but should this prove to be something other than the cause my next step is here:</p><p><a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/135404" target="_blank">Common causes and solutions of browser Event ID 8021 and Event ID 8032 on domain master browsers</a></p><p>Ain't life grand?</p><p><br></p>]]>

She had done something that let in a flood of spam,  enough to make her old email app. just about useless.]]>
